Almost 1 year in

Just before Darkest Peru turns one year old, we’ve received some very special news: we have been shortlisted as finalists for Best New Coffee Shop atThe London Coffee Festival Awards 2026.

The London Coffee Festival is one of London’s major coffee events, a gathering of cafés, roasters, industry people and coffee lovers that celebrates the city’s vibrant coffee scene

For a young independent Peruvian café in London, this means the world.

When I opened Darkest Peru, I wanted to create a space that could bring a little of Peru to London through coffee, food, and hospitality. Since then, so many of you have supported the café—by visiting, returning, recommending us, and helping us grow. This recognition is really thanks to all of you.

So first of all: thank you!
